I revived a donation to my campaign last night.Best part of my christmas.Well, that and the fact that the rain went away and i got to take a client to the beach. He has had a bad case of cabin fever.
Apropos of nothing…Preheat oven to 300º1Cup Sugar1/2 Cup Butter2 Eggs1 Teaspoon Vanilla1 and 2/3 Cup Flour1 Teaspoon Baking Soda1/2 Teaspoon Salt1 Cup Banana, Mashed1/2 Cup Walnuts 2 Tablespoons Sour Cream or Plain Yogurt Optional, Cinnamon and/or Nutmeg (to taste) Sift together flower, baking soda, salt and spices if you are adding them.Cream together the sugar and butter.Beat the eggs, vanilla, sour cream (or yogurt) and banana into the creamed sugar and butter.Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients and blend until fully incorporated. Poor into loaf pans.Bake for 1 Hour. Check with toothpick to see if finished.Instead of using butter and flower on the cake pans, use butter and sugar. The loaves will come out of the pan feeling wet but will lose some of the sticky after air drying about an hour.Works with full sized and mini loaf pans.Recipe can be doubled.
@D&D: clear and 74 today. Went out to eat in a t-shirt and no jacket! Supposed to have been rainy today too. Now they say tomorrow will be like today. then rain back for first three days next week. We are already waterlogged!!
I took Sweetheart for a ride in the car today. No barking! She was still very anxious, but i managed to keep her siting (mostly) still and (mostly) quiet. We walked the length of town and back, and i even went into a shop with her tied up outside. She even rode home with less fuss than the ride into town.Cool!
Snow, Fellow Baby??? It’s an overcast & humid 74 degrees outside right now. We’re supposed to get severe T-storms overnight and into the day tomorrow. It’s raining in some parts of Houston right now, but not here yet. But no snow, even though a cold front will push through sometime tomorrow. Even so, we will not get anywhere near the 30’s. Lows in the 40’s and highs in the mid to upper 50’s throughout the upcoming week.
Fellow Baby it was snowing like crazy at the Sun Bowl.
Tmr. will be filled with some awesome games! Not watching that game you are, wish I could. Upstairs tv doesn’t get the NFL network and hubby is controlling the one downstairs where we do get it. That’s okay though. I don’t really care who wins that one .Did I mention how AWESOME my Birthday/Christmas present from my son was? Peyton didn’t play, SADLY, but I got to see him! Yes I did! And Heinz Field is also AWESOME! (Can you tell after ALL these years of loving the NFL this was my first up close, in person game?? LOL! I LOVED IT!)

The old adage is true: “be it ever so humble…….. there’s no place like home”.

And I didn’t see the Sun Bowl, but I’m watching Eagles/Dedskins right now. I’ll be heading to bed soon though.
