One day, i picked up my (future) step-daughter (then fourteen) after school on Friday, and we drove to the home of some friends to meet her mother and hang out.
When she opened the car door, she noticed that the area between the sidewalk and the curb was covered with ivy, not grass.
She said “I’m not sure I want to step in that.”
I said “Don’t worry - there probably aren’t any snakes.
She’ll be twenty-five next April and she still brings that up occasionally.

Ahh, the rope swing. Wonder what’ll happen to the boys when she finds out about there being no snakes around!

If she wasn’t there they wouldn’t need the swimsuits

Fairportfan, it’s a good thing she doesn’t hold any grudges!
