cabrobst , this does seem like an odd place to put in a Republican slam. There’s no real “transition” from the cartoon’s subject to the slam (as my English teachers would say). Wizard of Id and BC usually provide better places to get political, but I agree that you might feel more comfortable on Doonsberry.
Eidth just doesn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings by blocking their shots on goal. She’s trying to make sure their little psyches aren’t permanently scarred by having to deal with reality at such a tender age.
