First, I coach youth soccer for years, and it is true every player sees him or herself as the victim. Second, most youth soccer coaches are kids themselves, so the screaming adult thing is pretty weird. At least at the lower levels, they’re still learning. But what I always told my players and their parents was one main thing – the ref’s word is final. Deal with it.

I’ve been a referee for 10 years. I’ve officiated nearly everything from U7 to professional. This is EXACTLY what the referee sees. :)
