@ fritzoid from yesterday: Thanks for the correction on Spinal Tap. To be honest, I may be the only person in my age group (49) who hasn’t seen “This is Spinal Tap.” I was just amazed at the contrasting roles.
And I quote Holy Grail (well, lots of Monty Python) as well as Princess Bride. And for what it’s worth, another quotable is “A Knight’s Tale.”
Josh, perhaps it’s because he really isn’t very good. Nice story, little talent. The runner up has far more talent than any three people ever on the show, with the exception of Terry Fator, the season 2 winner.
“A Knight’s Tale” is a lot of fun, but I don’t remember a lot of quotes from it.
If you have never seen *This Is Spinal Tap”, you must must MUST do so! Any of the Christopher Guest “mockumentaries” are worth seeing as well (“A Mighty Wind”, “Waiting for Guffman”, and so on), but “Tap” is unsurpassed.
In a similar vein, if you’ve never seen “GalaxyQuest”, hurry out and do so.
My favorite quotable movies (in only approximate order): “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”, “This Is Spinal Tap”, “The Big Lebowski/Raising Arizona/O Brother Where Art Thou/Barton Fink”, “Airplane!”, “Casablanca” (really, just about every line in “Casablanca” is a gem).

Mr. Fator is our modern “Rags to Riches” story. I still have my dummy, can’t sing a lick!
