Peri: The headless goalkeeper came toward Raymond and his friend. The boys were terrified! They ran away--so fast they left their souls behind! Edith: Whoa, whoa whoa--they did what? Peri: The creature scared their souls out of them. Then it began gathering up their souls. Edith: This is a true story? Peri continues Coach Neely's story: The Headless Soulkeeper of Horrible Dr. Motubu. Yes. Coach Neely didn't run away like the others. He his in some bushes be the field and watches. He wanted to see what the grotesque monster was going to do with his friends' souls. And--it still had their soccer ball. Quiet, Edith.
This storyline is from the first years of Cleats in the early 2000’s. I wanted to try something different for Halloween. It didn’t come off well but I enjoyed trying some moody art. Cleats will get back to the usual sparsely worded gags in a few days. In the meantime, please hang in there and just look at the pictures. I really appreciate all of you taking the time to look at Cleats.
