Let's say I've got the ball, and that tree is a bad guy-- I'm going to juke him one way with a shoulder dip-- and when he bites, I push the ball past him on the other side and-- Oof! Jack: So that's how you did it when you played soccer, Dad? Deanne: That's how he would have done it had he ever played soccer. george: I saw the whole thing, Gary. The tree would've been called for tripping.

Sometimes it helps to be frozen, you don’t go for the fake. Of course a broken clock is right twice a day also.

What you do is watch the ball…not the player. The player can go anywhere – do anything – they wish; you just keep your eye on and play the the ball.
Works in basketball defense, too.
