Jack: We can beat these guys. Mondo: Yeah, we can beat 'em. Jack: No problem. mondo: Yeah, no problemo. Abby: Hey, Jack--how come your shorts are inside out? Hah! Made you look! Jack: Cut it out, Abby! You're making me lose my focus. Abby: Jack, you're straddling the thin line between focused and freaked.

Jack and Abby fight, insult, annoy, love and compete in the way only a brother and sister would. That’s what makes them so much fun to watch.

I remember reading something in Please Understand Me (which is about interpreting the Meyers – Briggs personality type indicator) that the difference between artists and practitioners is that when an artist practices – they perform. They develop the skills, the sweat beads, they do the work – but there is an aspect of it simply being part of the performance. Where practitioners are practicing, with goals and targets, and a next step to achieve. For the artist there is something of a natural flow to this, where for the practitioner it is work. I sometimes see the difference between Abby and Jack this way in this strip.
