Deanna: Swim team? You want to join the Cudas? What does that entail? Jack: I'll have swim practice every weekday. The meets are on Saturday. We warm up at 7:30 am. Then we hang around waiting for me to swim in 2 or 3 events. It's usually over by 1 or 2 in the afternoon. Gary: We hang around outside for 5 or 6 hours, waiting to watch you swim for just a few seconds? Jack: No, you'll be doing swim-team volunteer stuff. Gary: Can't wait. Charge the camera.

That is the truth. One of our daughters lives in SoCal and has 3 sons, 2 of the 3 are bigly into baseball and the parents are “volunteering” all of their weekend time going to oldest and youngest sons baseball games, all of the parents spend massive amounts of time “supporting” their sons teams

So true. Actual tee shirt seen at a daughter’s swim meet: “If I have one day to live let it be the day of a swim meet because they never end.”

I’ve never been to a swim meet before. I’ve just taken swim lessons.

One of our granddaughters is on a swim team, and her mom has talked about this routine many times.
