Abby: Gee, Peri, you get new cleats every season. Peri: Well, duhh - it's a new season. Abby: I'm going to hang on to my lucky cleats as long as I can. Peri: They don't smell lucky.
At Peri’s age, it’s probably a good idea to get a new pair of cleats every season. Otherwise, her feet would soon start hurting from from wearing shoes too small.
Peri has to be up to date with the latest trends and coolness. Otherwise, she can’t be the fabulous diva she was born to be. Besides, her feet aren’t gonna be the same size forever.

Grandson’s cleats, $300 plus. Watching him head the winning goal, priceless.

Peri, when something is lucky, you don’t clean it. You have to preserve its luck essence and not wash it away.
