True, a standard drivers license is not required. However, you’ll need a NASCAR driver’s license. Among the requirements is proving you have extensive racing experience.

When Cars was in preproduction they asked Linda (Mrs. Richard) Petty what kind of car she’d like to be as The King’s wife, thinking it would be some kind of sports car. She replied, “A station wagon, because that’s what I drive the kids to the races in.”
