The wax probably cost more than their salaries.
Most likely more effective than the human ones I’ve seen. I hear they do have to clean and service them occasionally though, wax off, wax on!
I went to Madam Tassaud’s in Las Vegas. Very interesting and highly accurate representations of celebs.
All they have to do is install wicks and they will save on electricity for lighting.

Remember the old “Candid Camera” TV show? That would be an interesting subject. Watch people as they try to figure out is he was real or not.
And some customers are wax too to make them look busier…
It seems to me that a “museum of wax” would not be the same thing as a “wax museum” as we usually know them.
