I LIKE IT!!! Where can I get one? It’s such a time saver. I have always wanted to be able to take a shower and go to the bathroom at the same time without doing it in the tub. This way you can accomplish two tasks at once.
Actually, although builders are embracing it more, homeowners are liking them less. Fewer walls to hang pictures on and put shelving against. Reality catches up, eventually.
There’s a great Benny Hill skit based around this: A young couple arrives at the home of an older couple. As they approach the house, they mention the long drive they just had and their anxiousness to use the facilities. When they get inside, they find the older couple has a commode and sink sitting on a raised platform in the middle living room. They exchange uncomfortable glances and sit on the couch. Several awkward minutes of shifting later, the young lady says “I just gotta go!” Their hostess replies “Of course dear! I’ll show you where it is!” and leads her to their bathroom – which, to her relief, is in a small room where it belongs. We are left with the young man and the older gentleman in the living room. The young man looks at his host with confusion and says “…but I thought….” and gestures to the commode in the middle of the room. The old man says “Oh! That! That’s my work! I’m a plumber!” The young man tilts his head in further confusion and the old man leans in and says “I don’t make house calls!”

Honey, if we put some bars on the windows and door it’ll be just like your old room in the penitentiary.

Wow, that looks pretty much exactly like my first apartment, I had a wall around the head, but the rest is spot on.

Like one in a camping trailer only without the walls/door! At least put it in the corner so you can run a curtain around it!

The range and refrigerator should be closer in order to get the full ability of multi-tasking.

With an open plan like that can we get more counter space and maybe a larger fridge and a dishwasher?

Hi Little Alien Dude!!!!!!!!!! What’s cookin’ Bleeb??? :)
dawgznkatz about 3 years ago
I detest the open concept house. I don’t want guests watching me cook or having cooking smells embedded in the living room furniture, drapes, etc.

The house seems to come with a Bleeb. That’s a selling point.
