When I was a little kid we had a parody comic book called the “Kosher Comics.” Among the characters in one of several separate stories was the Lone Arranger, masked marriage broker.

There was a local car dealer who went by that name in a commercial. It wasn’t funny then either.

We had a loan company here back in the 60’s and in their advertisements they called the manager “The Loan Arranger.”

For a long time the was no sign on the front of the desk (it wasn’t labeled). People always kept asking “Who is that masked man behind the desk?”

In 1985, Clayton Moore did a promotion of a bank in my town as ’ your loan arranger’. This cartoon actually depicts reality

There was a loan company (Household Finance?) back in the 1960s whose radio commercial used the phrase “The Loan Arranger” and the “Lone Ranger” theme (which is of course the William Tell Overture).

On YouTube, search “Jay Thomas story about Clayton Moore”. He used to tell it on the Letterman show every year around Christmas/New Year’s.

In 1980s Phoenix, there was a car dealer that featured the Loan Arranger, in the Lone Ranger garb but with a mule.
