I remember having some meetings like that as we prepared for what would occur in 2000. We had a pushy block captain who said that we should all share whatever resources we had. I thought the point was to prepare for yourself and family and (possibly) share with some who did not do it quite as well, but as a single person, did not plan on preparing for the whole subdivision.
