    I’m inclined to go with Trout in the last panel. However, remember that we would have no strip unless Agnes were not only bonkers but also precocious.

    old and curmudgeonly?!….sure, why not? Agnes is several steps left of centre. Trout is about one step. (if she were to the right – Agnes would be building nukes, instead we get rampaging, galloping herds of gastropods)
