I tend more to the right on this comic strip; pushing buttons till something happens.

Actually, on my ca-2005 Canon PowerShot S2IS, “Erase All” means “Erase everything that I haven’t marked as “Protected”. Since all Canons, SLR or not, seem to use the same operating system, I imagine that’s common.
