The city of Detroit, Michigan, has made 7 bids for the Olympic Games 1944, and failed each time- and Olympic record! In July 2012, Don McKenzie of Niantic, Conn., bought Lucky Larry a 17 lb., 80-year-old lobster at a local restaurant, but instead of eating him, he released Larry into Long Island Sound! In September 2012, the Yangtze River near Chongqing, China, turned a deep shade of red!

What a bummer for Motor City. Makes me wonder how many times Seattle has tried.

I heard that there’s 10 to 1 odds going that Drambuie gets the Olympics before Detroit…

When I look at an actual picture of the red Yangtze River, the theory that it’s from suspended sediments makes sense to me. The colorist makes the river look a lot like blood. Creepy.

Suggestion: Hold an international competition for anyone to come up with the best workable way to quickly convert Detroit to a place where people want to visit and live rather than escape from.

The only reason destroit would want the Olympics is because of the corruption. They see themselves making millions off of it, while the taxpayers get huge loads of debt.Who’d want to go to destroit? Good grief!

Sneaky, I’ve heard the same thing from my son. He lived in Novi, and hardly ever drove into Detroit. He said you can sense the danger just getting close to the city.
