A friend who at one time had managed a bookstore tells this story: A father and son were standing just inside the store, and the dad was discouraging his son from spending time in the bookstore as “there is nothing fun or interesting in a bookstore.” I guess the depth and breadth of human experience was of absolutely no value to that moron. We both hoped the son became a rebel and read every book he could get.

Wonder how that guy would presume to know anything about cars to make a judgment without a book on the subject?

But a book won’t crash into the stands killing hundreds of readers.

There’s nothing I like more than reading a good book while driving in a series of lefts at better than 100 MPH.

But books take you more places than cars.
