Cheer up, Mom — only three more years until Cathy and Irving get married!

I would not call a peer in such a situation; I would call one of my children! But for Cathy, I guess Irving sort of fits the bill!

Reading all of yesterday’s comments confirmed once again how great it is to be part of this little family. Aaron and Billy were a joy to “converse” with as are all the rest of you. We notice and miss the regulars when we don’t hear from them for a while.

Just makes me wonder if Cathy married Irivng only to get her mother off her back where he was concerned?!? LOL!!!!! ;-)

Hello and Happy Wednesday to all my nutty “Cathy” friends! Hope everyone’s having a nice day.

 

Regarding our friends, Aaron and Dr. Billy: While I’ve pretty much run out of ideas on how else to find them beyond what I’ve already been able to do so far, I haven’t run out of hope just yet that maybe we’ll still hear from them again one day (and hopefully that will be soon). While I’d like to think that they’re both as real as they described themselves to us, I’m with lightenup on this: at this point, I simply don’t care! They seemed like funny, warm, kind and generous people . . . people that genuinely cared about each other, their dog, their family and their friends (which included us!) . . . people that find a way everyday to enjoy and get the most out of life despite Aaron’s life-long illnesses, his near-fatal accident last year and the constant discrimination I’m sure they probably endure on a daily basis . . . people that made me laugh and smile every day with their funny comments . . . people that tried their best to help me whenever I had a computer question/crisis . . . people who shared with us the most wonderful, mouth-watering desserts . . . people I came to consider my dearest friends . . . and most of all, people that I had grown to love and care about very much. All that and more is good enough for me where they’re both concerned! While it’s true that people can be whoever they want to be on the internet and it’s best to take everything anyone says with a grain of salt so that you don’t get pranked or conned, in this instance I choose to believe they’re as real as they portrayed themselves to be. But even if it all turns out to be untrue, it really doesn’t matter all that much to me. I only know that I miss them very much and just want them to come “home” to us again soon!!!!! :-(

Absolutely! Cathy’s family really are like a family – even though divided by so much distance. :-D

OK. How long until Cathy’s mom personally takes a sledgehammer to the computer to … [cough, cough] … “encourage” Irving and Cathy to get together?

As I’ve said before, this is the only strip where it’s “safe” to comment w/o the hateful diatribe one finds elsewhere — and I think Aaron & Billy played a part in making that happen (as did others). I hope they are real, I hope they come back, and most of all I hope they are both ok.

As for the comic — there has already been “electronic failure” — at least on the part of Irving — not to mention GoComics.
