Ugh. This is painful to read…

There are still lots of mothers like this. Have you read about the woman who writes a blog about her Jewish mother? Her mother is constantly telling the writer that her eggs are getting old and that she wants grandchildren, and trying to set her up with nice Jewish doctors even though the writer is living with someone. Fortunately the writer takes it with a grain of salt but I don’t think the mother is kidding.

Mom wants to spread that good news that her daughter is now going to join the rest of her friend’s daughters, in matrimony. Mom always did feel left out of that loop.

But even more than a son-in-law, Mom needs GRANDCHILDREN!

I know my mother can’t keep her hands off of the world wide web when I (or my sister) have big news! She totally turns into a one-woman CNN!

The joke in our family has always been: Telephone . . . Telegraph . . . Tell our mother!" so unless you want everyone you know (and even some you don’t!) to know your business, you have to be very careful what you say around her. She doesn’t do it out of spite or anything like that; I think it’s because she just can’t help herself (I guess it’s her way of contributing to whatever conversation she’s involved in with somebody). But she’s 78 and too scared of computers to touch one of those in order to spread any “news” around that way, thank goodness!!!!! ;-)

Hello and Happy Friday, fellow Cathy fans. Well, we made it. It’s finally the weekend again. Hooray! :-)

I think Mom is over reacting a bit, no? lol…anyway Happy weekend to all ye wonderful Cathy fans:)
