I did pretty well with packing for our 10 day vacation. Granted, I may have been dressed casually for most of the meals, but I don’t think everyone dresses nicely for dinner anymore. Oh well, at least I only brought one suitcase and not 5 like I think Cathy will bring.

Hum. I’m usually happy with clean underwear every day and a tooth brush. Anything else is a luxury.

We used to backpack. I’d like to see how many clothes Cathy could carry on her back when she’s also carrying food, water, and bug repellent.

Vacation….what’s that?

My first trip to Europe I took two suitcases. Out of clothing for any possibility, I essentially wore the same dress every day. Lesson learned. An overnight bad is fine for most trips.

Aeons ago my s/o & I were going away on a four day weekend. I told her I was just doing to use a carrying on bag for our flight. When she met me at the airport she had 2 full sized bags plus a carry bag. She told me that she could bring 2 bags as since I wasn’t bringing a bag.All weekend she kept changing outfits. The people we were with saw her as being high maintenance. Maybe….but she kept buying a lot of new outfits & don’t get me started about the number of shoes that she owned

My suitcase usually has half the clothes my wife’s does – and I still bring back clothes that have not been worn. She packs for every possible weather condition! Don’t mind though – the rule is you have to pull your own suitcase and carry on bag. (both of mine are smaller than hers)
