Even with “major” chains— Burger King Whopper in the city: $4.95. Burger King Whopper at the airport: $9.95.

So now that only cost them $12.90 rather than $37.90. However the cost to their marriage (and sanity!) is immeasurable.

Hello Cathy friends! Happy Tuesday! Have a great day, all!

I try not to buy food or anything at the Airport Kiosks, but the duty free shop can suck my credit card dry.

I’m sitting here disgusted with Irving. Why does HE get to dictate how many bags she can have? She can pay for her own. But didn’t….now I am disgusted with her, too.

If your budget requires you to save $25 on luggage then you should not be eating at an airport, or in flight.

A beautiful but chilly Monday today – even if it is really Tuesday. Got back from the weekend trip yesterday afternoon just in time to get the lawn mowed before it rained. Since today is the first day this week that I am doing work related things in feels like Monday. Note – catching up on Cathy comments is considered a work related thing in my mind.

My family and I are planning to fly to Iowa in Mid-October for a memorial service for my Sister in Law’s mom, Mary Ellen, who passed away in her mid 90’s (not from Covid) in March of 2020. It will be the first time most of us have flown anywhere since we went to a spring training game in Florida in March 2020. So, depending on how we beat back the Delta variant through vaccines and treatments, it should be interesting to see how the airports are faring by then. I am planning on taking my own snacks and my steel water bottle (which I can fill after customs), and expect others in my family to take a similar tack. We are all fully vaccinated, but we will wear our masks on the plane. Even if Delta has lessened, it would be the start of cold and flu season. So, wearing masks (unless you’re eating or drinking) would still be smart. According to experts, last year’s flu season had one of the lowest case rates in history because of so many people wearing masks.

OK. This one’s a little too close to the truth for me.

    HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.
