It’s a valid answer. There is a clear difference between showing incompetence and proving it. I’ve gone through quite a few managers, and I’ve seen it all.
She doesn’t need to show him half that stuff. She is just as bad as she claims she is. If she is looking for sympathy, better to dump it at her mother’s place.
I’ve got news for Cathy. This isn’t the C.P.A.‘s first rodeo with her. He already knows from pervious experience that she’s financially incompetent! :-D

Hi, rgcviper! :-)

Hello and Happy Thursday, fellow Cathy fans. Have a great day, everyone! ♥
Cathy is right when she said she was delusional if she thought this year would be any different. Must admit I have the same issue. Every year I promise myself I will file all the receipts properly as they come in and every year I scramble looking for at least one that was not filed but left in a pile with other papers. Ah well, at least I start the process early enough to give myself time to find anything. Back in my much younger years I would wait until the last moment or, for many years, filed late. Fortunately there are no penalties for late filing when you are getting a refund. Cannot do that now though since we both have income, a pension income, and dividends. Maybe some day I will be able to guess what I will have to pay in taxes the next year and make regular quarterly payments to avoid the shock.
Have a great Thursday today. For those looking forward to a long weekend – enjoy the last working day of the week.
Pull it together, Cathy! Gather your materials; knock out your taxes; and be on your way. Boom, boom, boom. Somehow, though, I sense an upcoming AACK from the accountant.
I might have put this here before but one year we had an accountant appt on April Fool’s Day. So we decided to take a bunch of black garbage bags, stuff them with newspapers, and drag them into the accountant’s office. The look on his face was priceless. Luckily it was all fake and we had it all together.

He’s going to need to switch to an hourly rate and double his fee, if he has to listen to wingeing.
