There’s a matching set of Tiff-lamps in the first panel.

I’m not disconcerted by the technology that youn people use nowadays. I’m usually into it a year or two after the leading edge. I’m more concerned about the technology that THEY will find disconcerting, that their kids will be using to bamboozle their parents.

Gosh, Nancy, knitting isn’t for out-of-date people anymore. Teens and 20-somethings knit like crazy!!! Oh, wait, maybe I should be telling Greg since Nancy doesn’t actually have her own brain.

I wouldn’t worry, parental units. At the end of the day, parents are the only ones garunteed to be there. computers and boys come and go. Parents are forever…unless they die. :(

Luann’s a big girl now. She’s got Quill & Google. Sounds like it might be Quill – instead of Mom & Dad – from now on…

I still thing Luann should strangle Tiff and I would love to give Louann anything she need to do the deed.

As Frank and Nancy recognize their increasing “uselessness” in Luann’s life, it is time to admit that she is growing up but still has a way to go; when she is fully grown, she will acknowledge that Mom and Dad are never “useless.”

Luann’s is ACTUALLY Talking to Her Parental Units. THAT in itself is a GOOD Thing.
Now, about this "Quill is a “Good Guy” Crap…..,

Judging from Luann’s expression while looking at her parents in the second panel, I think she’s just giving them a hard time (in a nice way).

Sounds typical. I’ll admit, it’s usually faster to search google than to try to get ahold of my folks….but I’m in a different time zone that makes trying to reach them harder. Still, in a crisis or if I’m upset (much like Luann is), my mom is the first I want to talk to.

Google, boyfriends and parents are helpful with entirely different sorts of questions.

The teenagers of today who are just starting to discover the pleasures of sex & alcohol, thinking it is a new thing, don’t realize that they are no different than their parents, grandparents, great grandparents, great-great grandparents, etc…

Huh? Did you mean Greg would have that happen to Luann? That’s what you said with your double negative.

I think Tiffany is going to get hers because she will try to take pictures of Luann taking her clothes off in the school gym changing room only to have Crystal snatch the phone out of her hands and belt her with it.

Add spinning to the list of good hobbies—Luann could brush her dog, spin it up with a drop spindle or wheel, and knit herself a hair scrunchy out of his fur. I’ve done this with Samoyed, and yes, knitting is an art form. It does get tiresome to see the cliche of it being put down.

I’m taking a break from knitting a blanket for my sister to comment here.
