I think a “Jane” strip would be popular. Who needs Tarzan anyway? Substituting Jane for Tarzan in the most recent desert treasure story line would have been much more appealing (e.g., when that sand storm arose and she would have had to cover her face while crouched behind a dead giraffe. Tarzan used his filthy loincloth. WWJD?
The good professor forgets that if they don’t cut down the trees, there will be no materials to make paper. And if there’s no paper, there wouldn’t be any newspapers. And if there’s no newspapers, Tarzan would be out of a job as there would be no Tarzan comics! At least back in the 1960’s, anyway.
@ Kit Walker, yes this Jane is quite the babe, the artist has put a little more effort in, and seems to be involved in the storyline and not just shopping in Nairobi.

Philander, you fool! …Forester Jane is looking hot in her tight tee, short-shorts, and fringed buckskin boots. Not sure how practical that outfit is….

Is Tarzan on a road trip with Brandy? No, wait. She’s a brunette.
