Meanwhile…. symbols like é, ö, ñ, and also ¢, ♫ and £ can be done with “alt codes”…
ie by holding down the Alt key and typing a number on the numeric keypad….
I’ve memorised a few codes, but I mostly get them from a chart….like this oneOr you can copy and paste the character itself from the chartor use “Character Map,” a little program in Windows Accessories.

You MUST use a numeric keypad and not the numbers along the top row. If you don’t have one, you need to copy and paste from the character map.
