Good grief! As a 60-something male, I don’t see why this should be such a big deal. It seems to me that in high school (1960’s) the majority of girls had pierced ears. I had no problem with my daughter getting her ears pierced when she was about 13 or 14 (I don’t remember her wanting it before that). I think Frank is being a stick-in-the-mud here – and unnecessarily controlling (and as someone mentioned earlier, this sort of thing should be in the mother’s realm anyway).
