It seems that the whole topic is controversial for Endtown citizens. I’m interested in the general mood of the Endtown public. Will there be a rebellion? Open riots? Lynch-mob for the rats?
Don’t be so soon to put Allie on the sauce. She may have gotten dry. But………..we will see.The division in Endtown is going to be apparent. Those in favor thinking mutant by products is bad and others going “why not how is it bad”.Allie was a scavenger. She would know what remains topside. How dangerous it is. How far out they have to go into the void to find supplies. I don’t think every one goes topside on a regular basis. Its probably the most dangerous job in Endtown.Next to being Allgood’s security detail right now. I mean rocks are random. Good thing they can throw them good and accurate.
Unless Aaron needs her, Philomina is as gone as Maude’s husband. It seems somewhat coincidental, but I have to admit one time being tired of the story when they tried to destroy the rocket. Why all the details? I thought Flask was a B***h! Okay, she was. But by the time she died, I wanted to know why. That became the best story yet.So I look at some comments from readers about how boring it is right now for them and remember it was at tone time for me when I just started reading the strip. I ask you to be patient. By the time this is over, hardly a word will be used, or a gesture shown that doesn’t have an impact on the story that will intrigue you when you review the story after it’s over.
Jayce_C,A fourth option is that Spike is somehow involved in all this or is ABOUT to get involved. It would be ironic if he were somehow involved in the underground operation that is behind the trial. It could just be that he was an interlude bringing us up to Allie and her part in this story.I was fairly interested in the trial, particularly when Allgood and Maude were at it. This bit with Spike is a bit slow though, I hope it livens up soon.
TSOJ I read your post from yesterday about dockets. That didn’t work out so good did it? Lawyers and Courts may not be liked but leaving it up to the population does not work so good either.
There is a difference. There is a Police force. Seen it with Wally and Holly over the suitcase caper early on. There is also the Security force which is the Rat detail.Allie is not a Security issue. She is a public disturbance issue. The Rats would not be the ones sent.Constable Bear or Patrolman Bull would be the ones sent.“I woke up in a Soho doorway, a policeman knew my name.” “He said you go sleep at home tonight if you can get up and walk away.”“I staggered back to the underground the breeze blew back my hair.”“I remembered throwing punches around and preachin’ from my chair.”“Who are you?”
And mr_shermanYou are soooooo right about the story and the lines. It is what grabbed me in and now I just can’t look away at times. To mix a quote from James Thurber“Neathery has his reasons, but the what reason is not known.” (Le coeur a ses raisons Ms. Bence, que la raison ne connait pas."
There are some who don’t even know that we had a major news event last week. Like I said, “some”. Others like you, me and the rest did know what happen last week.
See you play video games. COD Black Ops II player maybe or is it too much like real life for you. I understand. Look me up Caster_1971 is the moniker PS3. I am not great but I give as good as I get.But watch out following Night guy. It appears you are like him so if he stops suddenly we will have to extricate you from his butt. Bad deal that really bad deal. HA!
Nice bunch of comments. Not all but most. I agree about Allie Alligator Good to see you Crocodile..I get to go to the eye Doc. today. My double vision makes it hard to spell or to tell the difference between 2 ii and ll. and l,li !l I couldn’t place that song, who was it by? very nice one Level Head.
I read several days of past comments. I was surprised to learn that someone physically threatened Mr. Neatherly. Who was that? Did they get reported? that is never acceptable.
Side note. I will be out of pocket four days starting Friday back on Monday late. Assignment to the West, Texas disaster. My Strike Team is going back for second tour. Safer at least than the first reaction response. At least it will be day shifts. 6a-6p. Bunking up in Hillsboro. Things are pretty well settled down. The exposure danger is diminished. We will be there to keep things in control and ensure the folks of West can get along with their lives. Keep out the vultures that sometimes show up to things like this trying to take advantage of good folks.
@ VeteranIgnore the trolls, keep posting. You know, anybody that doesn’t like you COULD just skip over your posts—-they aren’t FORCED to read and respond.Sometimes, when I’m pressed for time, I just read TSOJ’s posts by scrolling down the column of posts, TSOJ usually has an inside track that I don’t want to miss. Usually, I read ALL the posts (including yours) to see everyone else’s viewpoint. Please don’t let the trolls bother you—-KEEPONPOSTING!Thanks for your service!
Josh,“YAWN & zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz”?We talking about the same guy? Vietnam Vet, Texas State Trooper, formidable opponent in Endtown Auction bidding wars? The man built an El Camino with a 2nd generation Hemi and welded the doors shut for crying out loud! He even quotes Thurber! If that’s boring I’d love to hear what call excitement.
Anybody who has read this strip over any length of time knows that stories purposely move along at a deliberate pace. If you want simple and easy, try Garfield…you get the whole shebang in four panels. The rest of us will keep coming back because we know it’s worth the wait. There’s nothing else like Endtown.
Yes, Veteran, be safe. I enjoy or learn more from or meditate on from your posts, I can tell you know w lot about whats what. I mean I love what most of the regulars post too, but you don’t say things to make people agree with you..
