Good morning to you Vista Bill and all. Methinks if Diet Smith wants to find your location, you’re not going to stop him.

….and good mornin’ back at ya, Vista Bill! Well, they must be hiding something at that locale……maybe the fact THIS “Moon Maid” is in fact ANOTHER moon being whose face has been re-constructed to look like the real Moon Maid would’ve…I mean, why would a CLONE need surgery?

I’m looking forward to Mumbles’ reaction when this story finally gets out.

Operating out of a closed-down Go-Go joint? What’s embarrassing about that? (Trying to think of something positive to say and that is getting to be a problem.)

The twist that nobody might expect, they’re in diet smiths building or very much near him.

fredville: I’m still figuring it’s the real Mysta, perhaps receiving plastic surgery to repair damage from the blast.

Mike and Joe went out on a limb bringing Mysta back, even going so far as to give her a name – even Gould never gave Moon Maid that much dignity!

I just don’t see any reason to bring her back, just to have her be a “clone” or any other kind of fake (and, to me, a clone is still a fake) – unless they want Tracy to have a new villain with super powers. That would have to be the only use for a non-real Moon Maid.

Last, and certainly least: I hereby take back anything nice I had to say about Sail. Clearly, he is every bit as much a crook as the old Ghote. Today’s events make it look even more like Mysta was, in fact, Sail and Ghote’s prisoner since the explosion, and certainly since she once again knew who she was.

Maybe not a prison with bars, cells, or a dungeon, but perhaps a psychological bondage based upon dependence; i.e., she “needs” them to repair her, to make her whole again.

In the meantime, if anyone has been “nice” to Mysta, it must have been Retik and Stellaluna. Yet, believing, as they do, that they are going to the moon, not knowing what we know, that there’s nothing there anymore, well, are they (Retik and Stellaluna) delusional?

The real Mysta has one heck of a tale to tell. Let’s hope she gets to tell it!

I’VE GOT IT!!! I GOT THE ANSWER!!! follow me on this!!

The reason WHY Moon Maid Lite needed plastic/reconstructive surgery, and the reason why she’s been running around for months wearing the bandages while her face fully heals, and the reason why there’s no more moon people, and what particular scam Sail and Ghote are pulling now… it all fits!

First. lets go back to 1978/9 or whenever it was that Moon Maid was made into flesh confetti, and her dear ol’ dad declared to never have contact with earth people again… then we get ghote falesly cloning mumbles

flash forward to mumbles’ return under curtis and staton, then the trip to the moon to find nobody there anymore and moon valley in ruins while “Moon Maid Lite” runs around town zapping people in the shadow of night

Then we have Sail debut and bring with him the returning zy ghote with some unrevealed plans but STRONG hints at a clone of moon maid.

THIS is where it gets fun! Everyone is speculating (myself included) on HOW, WHY, and WHERE this Moon Maid Lite came from, even speculations of cloning or her being the real deal or maybe another moon woman….we have TOTALLY overlooked the blatantly obvious answer the entire time!

Much like someone here likes to do ( i dont remember who but Ray, maybe you can help me out) i TRULY believe i have “outthought” team tracy on this one!

The REAL reason Moon Maid Lite has been wearing bandages, and the explanation of HOW she can fire her trademark electrical bolts, and WHY she is in hiding, and WHY she has all of Moon Maid’s Memories is so obviously simple I dont know why I didnt think of it sooner! (no, NOT coldsooner! lol)

The reason is……

SHE IS NOT A CLONE AT ALL… SHE IS 100% MOON PERSON ALL THE WAY, BUT SHE ISNT A **SHE**AT ALL… SHE’S THE MOON GOVERNOR AFTER UNDERGOING A SEX CHANGE OPERATION!!!

(hey c’mon…. its a lot LESS far fetched than some other theories that have been floating around! lol.. and for those of you who NEED it… this entire post is simply a joke and I am not being serious in the least!)

The suspense is killing me. So many twists and turns in this story that I can’t think straight. There is indeed somethingsinister in this story if Ghote and Sail don’t want their locationknown to Smith. I’m thinking Diet Smith is being unknowingly drawn into this scheme, whatever it is.

Why is Dr. Zy Ghote reading his book “The Cloning Of Mumbles”? Is he trying to remember all the lies he told in it?

I’ve got a funny feeling all the MM groupies over here are gonna be very disappointed. I hope I’m wrong but we’ll see!

But JB2K, I’m with you – not that it makes the most sense in any realm of science or science fiction – but this is the funny pages, and I still can’t think of a good reason for Mike and Joe to bring Mysta back unless she’s real!

Also, your proposed swindle pretty much matches what Ghote did back in the days of the clone Mumbles swindle – real Mumbles posing as a cloned Mumbles.

The only difference here is, how did Sail/Ghote secure Mysta’s (perhaps unwitting) cooperation? The Mysta we know would never have consented to or have committed such a crime.

perhaps Dr. Ghote is looking for his nanny.

What if this moon maid lite was the real one somehow, and while she managed to crawl away somehow (even tho personally i dont buy the “he being alive” theory at all)hey, has anyone tought that MAYBE mysta isnt as innocent in this whole thing as she seems to be?

I mean, dont let nostalgia get in the way of how you see her. For all the “Mysta-Maniacs” it would be nice if it WAS the real deal moon maid come back to life somehow.. but what if whoever this mysta is (the true one or otherwise) is the ACTUAL person behind it all instead of the one being used by sail and ghote?

what if somehow this is the real mysta (which i dont believe at all, i am more along the lines of her being splattered like a bug on a highway windshield myself) but somehow she survived the explosion, dragged herself away to a “safe location” and tried to recover on her own, only to find out she COULDNT… which would bring in ghote and sail.

mysta needed their help in recovering and is USING THEM to get back what she “lost” after the explosion?

moon maid lite KNOWS about the explosion and she KNOWS what she looked like before it happened (which leads me to believe she had also seen what she looked like AFTERWARDS as well)… but what if the concussive force of the explosion not only threw her clear of the resulting flames etc, but also scattered her brains leading to both amnesia AND BRAIN DAMAGE?!?!?

what if this moon maid lite is a few mcnuggets short of a happy meal? and judging by her whacked out mood swings (one day being meekly humble and subservient to sail and the next being authoritative and demanding, then one day “hunting down” sparkle, gertie and jewel, then another day being overjoyed and enthusiastic about her “life truly beginning”) it WOULDNT seem to be too much of a stretch….right??

maybe this moon maid IS the real deal, maybe she’s a well conditioned clone but either way…. she is DEFINITELY not sane in the least.. and THAT.. in and of itself, could be VERY dangerous for tracyville!

……gee, we’re in the middle of what’s supposed to be the gereatest Mike/Joe story wever, and only 35 comments thus far?Anyways, will someone answer this…….WHY ON EARTH would someone able to completely restore someone who has been blown to bits, WANT to pass it off as merely a cloning job? It’s a far GREATER accomplishment than mere cloning. I mean, do you think if we blew up Dolly the cloned sheep, we could operate on her and bring her back good as new?

I’m still thinking “Moon Maid’s” ANOTHER moon person with plastic surgery to pass her off AS a clone……would explain the bandages, as only the face would need a touch up if they found someone similar, would explain the powers, and hypnotism/unconcious suggestion/brainwashing would explain why she thinks she IS the real Moon Maid. True, it not being the real MM would disappoint people in the short run, but in the long run being able to bring people back from death sure would take away the fear of Tracy and Co. being killed, too, wouldn’t it?

tsull2121 and fredville: I have to agree. If this is not the real Moon Maid, story-wise, there is almost no reason whatsoever to bring her back – unless (which has been my alternative “theory”) it’s to create a new and, as noted, very dangerous villain!

The problem remains, though: Mike and Joe have ticked off non-Space Era fans by bringing any semblance of Mysta (or Moon People) back at all; do they dare risk ticking off Space Era fans, as well?

From what I’ve seen on these pages, Mysta is pretty much a binary character; fans are either “fur her or agin her,” with very little, if no middle ground at all!
