It’s tricky finding shade anywhere at high noon.

I just got here…. and I’m on my computer!I never know what will happen from moment to moment….. but Yay!

I have to keep telling it what a good computer it is…

I wonder what kid of treats you give computers…

I don’t think it would like one of Elvis’ Milkbones…They have STP and 40 wt oil in them.

Anyway… the good thing about Harold’s system is that it helps support the book, as well as providing shade.

He just needs a nice hair clip to hold the seatback strands apart, so he can have his left hand free for reading…. or snacking. Or scratching.

    Oh right, like you don’t.

Looks like Harold needs a double-decker chair. Top deck would provide the shade and a table for Susan’s snax.

That’s where it gets its name? When your palm springs up from a lounge chair. Ok, sorry. Got up waaay to early. Ugh.

I was looking at weather, and know the humidity in FLA is what get people. 83F now here, but WILL be 112 or so but I’d take this over 80s in Chicago (very familiar with psychrometrics). I checked weather there @ 81%RH (5%RH here).

I designed my yard with many different shade exposures too. But when it’s over 100, I only venture out to go to another place with AC (grocery, mall etc).

It’s 9:45am, 77 degrees and 74% humidity in my little patch of paradise and overcast. So, unlike Harold, I don’t need to hide from the sun.

Good thing about Ballard Street, we don’t have extreme weather ( usually ), and the Tiki Bar is always comfortable, the drinks generous and reasonable and the company – if a little eccentric – delightful.

So Bev, that’s YOU under the big hat. I thought it was myself as the hand looked like mine (and I AM prone to flamboyant outfits) but I never wear rings on my right hand (not since my middle finger was squashed in an accident) I have almost no nail on it.

Good to see lots of parrots in there. Too bad my Cuddles is not still around – she LOVES a party! I think I may step in (in my mind) but really I’m going to slip into a swimsuit. (almost dusk and I’d like to swim before bedtime).

You’d think that with a name like Palm Springs, thee would be plenty of palm trees for shade. Harold’s a shady character.

Hey! I see myself. Hiding in the bottom right hand corner. Elvis must be outside. My big ears pick up his engine rumbling outside waiting for SusanSunshine.
