Paige: What are those? Peter: Incense sticks. I picked them up at the drug store. This scent brings clarity, this one brings insight, this one brings energy, and this scent brings wisdom. I'm going to light half a dozen of each before I do my homework. Paige: You probably should have lit the wisdom one's first. Peter: Did I forget the clarity ones?

Makes me wonder how does one meditate and concentrate with burning incense and NOT set off the smoke alarm?

The incense craze comes and goes. Very popular in the late 60’s, passe in the 70’s, etc., etc. etc. Now they call it “aroma therapy”.Templo, one burning incense stick or cone won’t set off a smoke alarm. Too little smoke that dissipates very quickly.
