Cell phone and broken door bell would be the possible options for me. The land line rings through the house so that I would have no doubt someone called on that, and nobody calls me by computer.
We have a land-line (can’t misplace that!) and we each have a cell phone, which we generally forget to carry and/or charge. We also have a dog. And, obviously, a computer, but we taped over the Skype window.
Land line w FAX, non-working door bell, desktop PC and webcam for Skype, non-smart cell phone only used during travel, cable (with 2 boxes and 2 TiVos).
Land line, smarter than me phone (still figuring it out), computer that stays at home, iPad is only connected if I’m around wifi. Oh and a Garmin thingy in the car that simply cannot be trusted. She sent me to the wrong place once, I called her a bad name, and I think she still holds it against me. Recalculating………nooooo!
mostly use a land-line. I have a cell for emergencies and I text the “younguns” who don’t seem to know how to talk on the phone. I have a laptop and tablet but I don’t skype or “chat”.
