A few years ago. House directly across the street foreclosed (couple decided just to get out). New neighbors are very nice young folks with extended family I think. I’ve also been here longer than neighbors to either side and most within reasonable radius. Small subdivision always seems to have some houses up for sale. I have only one older neighbor who was here when some home were still being built (this was 3 years built when I bought it (and I’m sensible – bought with 90% down in equity from my last house).
About 3 months ago. Moved in here in 1978. Only one neighbor still here from when we moved in, then there’s us, and 3 neighbors across the street all moved in about the same time. Of the five of us, we really only know each other now. None of us really know the other neighbors. Getting to know the one whose dog we rescued though.
The folks on the left where here when we arrived almost 40 years ago. There is a wood lot between us and the house on the right; I do know those folks just moved, but they were also here when we bought this house. I guess that makes us the new kids on the block.
We’ve been here 30 years. I stayed too long and now I own it. I don’t hate anyone. I’m low energy and nobody has p!$$#d me off for the effort I would put into it.

We live in a building of 68 suites. The neighbors are often changing.

I’ve lived in my apartment for 4 years and already I’m the longest resident on my floor.
