He may charge only $29.99 to tighten them each month. Looks like a dandy of a handy man. I hope he picks up all the nails he has on the floor. For people who don’t like to spend money they sure do waste it on stupid things..
Used to be that the Sears Craftsman brand of doohickey was the best. Now you have to look in the fancy catalogs for the good stuff. I’m sure he’s a connaisseur of “tools.”
I just got back on – today is another election so I’ll be out for a while. The ones that are just the city make it difficult to find the polling place, but my councilman sent an email with all the addresses this time.
None of the regular Crustwood men are any good at fixing things (that’s just a starting point for a real man, just as cooking and sewing always was for a woman). Their “handiman” is not much better (and it looks like he even tried a butter knife, as I have in a pinch in some odd situations); he should be kicked to the curb too (although on second thought, Verla would do better with THAT than Jerry).

I believe that would be a screwdriver, Mr. ‘Handyman’…

Yep, hate how those pesky doors just fall right off every month if you don’t tighten those hinges…

Here’s the tool the handyman wants…

I think Verla’s hoping he wants to tighten up her hinges….

Alas, he actually just wants to loosen up her grip on some cash….and lighten the load in her refrigerator….
“Hey, if that six-pack is in your way, Verl…”

Yep, Joy loves heavy food. She can eat a whole pound cake in 1 sitting.

I use a hammer to drive screws. The other thing is a ‘screw puller’.The handy man needs to invest in a cape….

Whose hinges is he tightening? Does Verla have chairs like Joy’s?
imnormal about 11 years ago
If he is tightening screws, what is with the other doohickeys and the knocked over jar of nails.
I think everyone in the Crustwood group has a screw loose.

I think Verla likes ’em hairy.

@I have toenails on my fingers: or Julie is trying to make him sound like he’s from Michigan’s UP. But to be exact, we say “ay”!

Seems like a few months back this is the guy that was having trouble changing a light bulb in the kitchen for Verl. I think he is dumber than Dale.

At dinner, he will ask for “Metal thingy that digs food”

Here is a case where the comments are funnier than the comic. Great job everybody!
