Or you could just send a cheerleader, a mascot, and a celebrity to people’s houses……..For years the stereotype of the Dodgers’ fans was that they would get to the stadium in the third inning and leave after the seventh. I don’t know if it’s true anymore (if it ever was), but when neither the Raiders nor the Rams could get rich enough in L.A. to suit them, you know there’s something wrong somewhere.
The sad thing is that I know dedicated 49ers fans who have never been to a live game, even though they live just a quick bus ride from Candlestick Park. One guy told me, “I have a home theater system, why do I need to leave the house?”
Halftime at NFL games is the perfect amount of time for a ’Let’s Make a Deal’ type show. Then, the NFL studio audience could compete with even stupider costumes and behavior than they do now.

The funny thing is that the remote luxury box thing might actually be a valid idea.

I live walking distance from our stadium, MLS pitch & our NHL rink. And yes. I have gone to games. .But those marketing guys….kick them out the door.

I half expect one of the pregame shows to try that ‘grass as green screen’ idea before the season is over.
