Ok then don’t do it. Later when you want dinner she can be sitting down and say the same thing. “It can wait, I’ve only just sat down.”

Sounds just like my wife—and she has been sounding that way for more than 45 years. I do what she does—pretend I don’t hear the person who is speaking to me.

russell5419: No all women aren’t nags. If you assume that all women are nags, then women can assume that all men are lazy and don’t want to do anything around the house.

I don’t nag my husband to do anything. He just does things because he knows they need to be done and he know how he wants them done.

She could offer to do some of those things. Not all of those things are “man’s work” just as cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc. isn’t just “woman’s work.”

And he could help her with the housework, etc.
