I haven’t had much time n the last couple of days….

But I’ve been wanting to post that cheese carving is a real hobby! There are contests, and county fair exhibits….

and plenty of sculptures of cartoon characters…… mostly too large to call “figurines.”

And 200 years or so ago, sailors carved and polished snuffboxes and knife handles that looked rather like ivory from hardened cheese from the ships stores….but I can’t find any pictures.

And ironically Agnes, you may have stumbled into the right way to sell these — 240 lb of grated Parmesan (generic) sells for about $800 (about $950 for brand-name), so sell these for a total of $720 revenue!

Lots of pill bottles. And people will no doubt be surprised by the mixture of cheese and sanding grit.

The USDA guidelines allow for a certain percentage of sanding grit in parmesan.
