Your professor has it nailed, Librarian. Both “Avatar” and “Dances with Wolves” express the racist idea that all white people are greedy, thieving, lying; in short, evil (with the exception of Producer/Director/Star Kevin Costner.)
I think it was Spike Lee who coined the term “Magical Negro” to define the character of the black (or dark-skinned person) who uses ancient secret knowledge to aid the white hero.
Tonto was a Noble Savage. Mother Abigail is a Magical Negro.
Maybe, if Conan ever finds himself on the air again.
One of my old comedy partners, Ron Motta, worked with Conan and is my source of a good deal of what I’ve heard of him. All of it good. in fact, unless there is a code of O’Merta keeping people from talking, I don’t think anyone who has ever worked directly with Conan has ever said anything bad about him.

Next they’ll be making a big deal of pampered princes with hollow pseudo-inellects and big ears… never mind.

One review called it “Dances with Smurfs.” (OK, so they are tall Smurfs, but the point was made.)

Just finishing next week’s strips. I’m getting nastier than I expected. And the following week is just going to be worse.

If Conan finds out about the strips, you could get some air time and publicity that leads to good money.
