More than Sport, Gambling, or even His beloved [Pigeons], Andy’s greatest pleasure in life is [1 . . .2 . . .3 . . ] BEER.Married since 1937, scores of Girlfriends, and no Kids — numb sane?

not spilling a drop makes andy a conservative Drinker. He’s also a liberal Drinker, and evidently a moderate Drinker as-well. . . .doesn’t that make Him an Oxymoron or summat?

In Transatlantica “XXX” typically denotes hard liquor/Moonshine, but in the U.K. i image It means Stout [Ale]. so, perhaps He’s thinking of Florrie, after-aal.Nah.

Back in the day many years ago, I did see someone fall like this and not spill a drop. I sometimes wonder what he is up to these days.

Reminds me of when I was a kid. My uncle had his daughter in his lap; she was probably 3 or 4 at the time. He was drinking a beer and handed it to his daughter to put on the nearby coffee table. A newspaper was sitting half on / half off of the table, and my cousin put the beer on the portion of the newspaper that was off of the edge of the table. As the beer started to fall, my uncle succeeded both in catching the beer before a drop fell and knocking my cousin off of his lap and onto the floor.

I am, thanks !-He reads The Economist and history books. He takes my read copies of Consumer Reports and the Jehovah’s magazines that my “monthly visitor” leaves with me. I read those too. As religio lit. goes, theirs has to be about the best. We would watch History Channel together at my Dad’s, back when I had one..-Forget the unpleasants that are not presently a problem. Sounds good to me ! -Sunny and warmer today.____________________________________________

That sounds great! Do you find yourself absorbed into the story and lose all track of time? That’s what happens to me sometimes.-I’m not a big history buff myself but I find some parts of it to be interesting and worthwhile to research.-I’ve been reading the comments about alcohol. After reading them, It just gave me more of a reason not to touch it. I’ve had it before and I hated it.-I know that sometime in my life I’m going to have people saying to me “1 or 2 pints won’t hurt you!” That’s true I guess but it’s me who makes the decisions about what to drink and what not to drink.-Sorry for going on. I’m glad the weather was warmer for you. -I’m now going to climb onto my beautiful pink pony and ride away…

I had a dinette set with roll around chairs. They were metal with four castors. I went to take a deep swallow from my beer and leaned back. I had the misfortune of only one leg of the castors directly behind me. I wound up on my back in the floor as the one leg folded. The beer? Not a drop. To me this one is a good one.

. . . I heard from our dear Friend Number Six Todai [i know his real Name; but don’t like ‘disclosing’ It; ain’t that funny?], and He was appreciative of the “new” Classics, so good timing to thank Six, Number Three, and Yerself for ‘founding’ the Village. I don’t spend much time there, but i know the fact It does exist is appreciated; thanks!

Ohhhhhhhhh; well inappropriate can be relative to Ones’ personal mores . . . i’d have likely found It funny. Unless Yer intention was to be inappropriate? I DID flag that Clown with the Scorpion recently; no excuse for being mean. But little ‘bothers’ mi.

I was about 3, and my parents got up to change before we went out to dinner, I finished their beers. Got sick in the middle of dinner and had to be taken to the ladies. My mother was mortified because when we came out of the stall the smell of beer followed us, and I looked like a drowned rat.

This close to the Rollover, i can-be indulgent and anecdotal.Todai at the FOL [Friends of the Library] monthly Meeting* We went in a Circle introducing Ourselves. Lots of Treasurers and Branch Managers and Presidents and former Treasurers and Branch Managers and Presidents and even emeritus Treasurers and Presidents Present. I’m One of the few who actually doesn’t “run” the Bookstore; i sort, stock, and straighten/whatever. I introduced Myself as “Sorter extraordinaire and heavy lifter” whilst pulling one of These out and of course Everyone laughed and of course that’s funny. The Doc told mi mum that the Dai i was born. no the real funny thing is the first Question: “What IS that?!?” and of course It’s the second Question also. Really. Turkey Neck? Knee? Elbow? Well one of the good ol’ Gals [and i mean OLD, like 90, precisely][originally from rural Minnesota Granny], pulled-mi aside after the Meeting [and i was the only “fresh Meat” there so i thought nothing of-It] to rub Shoulders, but She later mentioned that THAT was one of the few times “The Girls” [Ladies not-as er, ‘experienced’ a Ronnie but still ancient][Granny Dean would be centered under the Bell Curve] laughing and enjoying etc. So maybe laughter did a li’l good Todai.

That funny; [!] and i didn’t even see that but then i did. Not offensive. You get remedial credit regardless.Starting the Dai with a # divisible by-two must be going for prime numbers.
