Bucky: Who is this "moth man" you're so afraid of? Satchel: Well, he was red, glowing eyes, ten-foot wings, and wherever he goes, chaos follows. Bucky: So he does exist? Satchel; Some people say he's just an urban legend, but he's been seen in west Virginia. Bucky: Clearly he's no urban legend. Satchel: He isn't? Bucky: No, he sounds like more of a sub-urban legend. Dare I say, maybe even a rural legend. Satchel: Ohhhh, that sounds scarier.

Another scary rural legend: Hootenhoppers. Giant, man eating grasshopper-like creatures with flaming eyes and jaws like scythes.

I’ve heard a TON of stories about people who looked out the winder, or some other place, and seen long dead Granny or some other familiar figure, beboppin’.Never heard one where anyone ran up to them and saying, “Hey, Granny!! Granny!! What’s it like where you are??”

Even though you might not hear banjos in Times Square, you could be in the same danger.
