Get Fuzzy by Darby Conley for November 02, 2013
Transcript:
Rob Wilco: How did seeing Satchel in his Halloween costume inspire you to be a spiritual advisor? Bucky Katt: Rob, when Satchel actually managed to scare me, I realized I had to get a handle on my brain. Rob Wilco: Like hippie self awareness? Bucky Katt: It's not just about self-a-where-ness, it's also about self-a-who-ness, self-a-what-ness, and the big one: self-a-why-ness. Rob Wilco: You're a fool. Bucky Katt: Nope. Not aware of that.

Bruno, you made spill my coffee….And Rob, that’s pretty harsh…I’m following Buck on this one, I think he’s on to something……Free your mind, man…………….

BTW, I don’t begrudge Conley the time he takes off…He’s some kind of genius when he’s on a roll. He could just quit all together like Watterson, Breathed, Cho and Larson…What ever keeps the new ones coming,I say…even if it’s not as often as I like….Sure, would like to find out what’s happening with Fungo and the boys, though….“Go Ferrets!”

Well said, Varnes. Get Fuzzy reruns are still better than 95% of the rest of the strips!

If education turns mirrors into windows, Bucky can’t find a mirror.

The ones who complain about reruns, think the world revolves around them.

I read reruns; I love Calvin, too, but Bloom County is to me quite sad so I don’t read it. I watch reruns (Cheers, Raymond, and the Big Bang) Sometimes reruns are the best thingsavailable for that day.

I think that the concerns of those who point out the myriad of repeats of this strip are genuinely afraid that the cartoonist will quit completely. Or that, bit by bit, those of us that turn to this and other strips for our daily chuckle will drift away (as sometimes evidenced by the reduced number of comments – pro or con) and the syndicate will simply cancel ‘Get Fuzzy’.

In the meantime, that last panel is Dunning-Kruger syndrome in a nutshell.
