Even in the Hobbit, Lady Galadriel wasn’t mentioned. They didn’t mention WHO was in the Council of the Wise. Elrond and Galadriel were unmentioned members. She had a ring of power, subject to the One Ring. She used it for the good of Lorien, and was loath to give it up.
