Well, we have lots of dog drivers here on Ballard Street…
I don’t see a problem if they’re properly licensed.
Dog licenses in Ballard County are a lot more comprehensive, and encompass a lot more categories, than in most counties….not only covering ownership, residency, and rabies shots…but such things as driving, work hours, and flying.
My own car, Elvis, is half dog, after all… I have to license him as a dog and register him as a car….plus, he maintains a Ballard County Canine Driver’s license.
It’s Class B… that allows him to drive commercially…. but I have to be in the car….er…. in him.
I’d have to sign an affidavit of responsibility for him to get a waiver to drive without me…. I believe he had one when he worked for StelBel, driving guests for SCHAABS.
Muttzie moonlights as a midnight motorman for Murphy’s Mortuary and Mattress Emporium. He is a proud graduate of *X*’s Taxi and Taxidermy School. The Drexlers couldn’t be happier. Not only can they go out for the great sightseeing drives, but they never have to worry about getting stopped by one of Munky’s minions for driving while intoxicated. ( We all know how much Marcia likes her ‘nanner daiquiris and Roland likes his extra-dry martinis ). The also are appreciative of the extra income Muttzie is bringing home. Muttzie’s happy because now instead of Alpo, he is eating Blue Buffalo. ( And an occasional yak steak ).
Squirrels and Cats look out. They remark in the back…“What a nice drive in the country”As they tear through neighbors yards.Never had a driver blame his dog however did watch two drunken drivers switch seats while driving.Arrest both for Driving While Intoxicated.Did have one pair do tandem driving. One steered the other worked the pedals.Husband had very bad vision but would not let the wife drive. She convinced him to let her steer and she told him when to accelerate and brake.
Waldo the Wonderful, Wild Waldo, Waldo the Weird, Waldo the Magnificent, anyway you slice it; isn’t it amazing how Waldo trained the Drexlers to sit in the back seat and enjoy the ride. Don’t let those wide eyes fool you; Waldo is cunning, keen and crafty. He may hide behind that big smile, but he is all business, knows where he’s going and how to get there. Just yesterday I heard Waldo telling Ms Millie, experience is knowing what you want and how to get it. She just blushed and smiled; she likes a clever dog.
I had doctor this AM, too – new Lab work, will do analysis next Thursday.@Munky, have not even thought of Wallbangers in ages (yummy, as I remember mixing up a batch for the neighborhood). Or maybe just for myself (a little foggy on the details as that goes back to my married days). The only way to put up with my Cuban was to drink a lot (same as he did)
I’d love to have a MargueritA with you BEV. Especially served by that cute fireman. But I am confused. Last night you said you were as purr as driven snow, but tonight you are a TRUMPET STRUMPET?
She is okay HAPPY. Go Comics has do e something to make her moments disappear but she doesn’t know why. I’d gi e you her address, but I don’t know how.
Good night BALLARDEERS. Did you leave already BEV? I was just enjoying the fireman, er. The Marguerita. And the kitten with the oxygen. I’d adopt that one in a minute. The kitten, I mean. ;-)

No, I think we will choose to do things for ourselves. We may, however, have enhanced animal companions…but not in any perverse sense.
