Microsoft to stop supporting XP. No more patches, no more security updates. There’s no upgrade path to Win 7 or 8 – you have to do a clean install. BUT! Microsoft will give you a 15% discount if you’re a business, and you’re running XP Professional – saving you $80 on the $560 dollars they’re charging for a new bundle for Win 8 Professional and Office. Oldbot is screwed.

I also have an older computer with XP, running fine (better than the one with 7) with no visible support from Microsoft. And not looking forward to the day I have to go to 8, from what I hear.
