No. I don’t mean soda. A shooter, a little whip, a little tiddly, one for the road…

Anyway, I always say when it comes to Ballard Street contests, you just can’t BE too competitive.

For instance, I’m in training (already!) for the big nappin’ ‘n’ knittin’ relay at the Old Town Ballard Square Festival next June….PLUS I’m spending every Wednesday this winter doing some serious hair growing exercises.

When the weather warms up, I’ll do them on Saturdays too.I’d hate to let down my team in the Longest Hair contest, groups of six division, at the Ballard County Fair this summer.

    Competitive? You bet!

If lounging around is considered a sport, then I am definitly over-competitive – with a proficiency in hammocks, deck chairs, and recliners.

SUSAN, I could get into competitive hair growing and even competitive nail growing. It would save time on always trimming them.

Too early for the Tiki. I think I’ll walk over to Mua’s Chalet to see if Prince Mua has acquired any new royal hat boxes. I imagine he will want to play with, er, use a Christmas themed box.

    nice rabbit, Happy.

PerkyCat and Shika…. always looking for team members…The knit & nap relay team needs a good strong knitter… tryouts are Feb 11th at Ballard Square Park, right off the square itself, in Old Town.

(I’m better at napping, though I do knit adequately, if a little slowly for competition.)

The hair growing team is short two members ever since the Avery twins got those awful pixie cuts in October for the Judi Dench look-alike contest at the Rose and Spam.

What were they thinking? They didn’t even win!

I told them they shouldn’t let anybody but me cut their hair…. or EVER go to Edna’s Eye Nose and Throat Salon and Clinic, even if they DID have a coupon.

And drinking at the Rose and Spam… at their age?

To everyone who commented on x_Tech’s award certificate….. THANK YOU!!

And, to x_Tech , thank you! for my “Outstanding Artistry Award” !! I am greatly honored…

(Years ago, in the “pre-computer Dark Ages”, I actually used to do custom certificates — all hand done, including the calligraphy, and they would take forever to do!! Now, with a computer, it takes a fraction of the “forever” time, and the possibilities are endless. Not to mention that it allows me to continue to do something that’s very enjoyable, even with a touch of arthritis in my right thumb. At this point, even my regular handwriting is nowhere near as nice as it used to be…. “back in the day…” lol)

Sadly, my hair grows so slowly, that there’s no way I could make the “Hair GrowingTeam” , and my knitting skills are very rusty (although I think I could give anyone a run for their money in the napping category).

    Do you need a mascot?

(As soon as I get up from my nap, I can get the ol’ rooster costume and cheer you all on…)
