Pooch Cafe by Paul Gilligan for January 16, 2014
Transcript:
Hudson: We've been walking for ages! Poncho: The snowstorm is really picking up! Hudson: It's so cold! How are we ever going to make it through? Poncho: Remember that scene in Empire Strikes Back where Han Solo slices open his dead tauntaun so that Luke can take shelter in its simmering remains? Hudson: Why are you thinking about that?? Poncho: No reason, no reason, it's just a cool scene, is all...

Reminds me of Jack London’s story, “To Build a Fire.” The dog got away from that freezing dude, as he preferred not to have his entrails used for purposes other than digesting his next meal.

Nanook of the North cut open a dog to save his wet hands. (Good one, R.D.)

ominous it is that CD didn’t show up today……are we going to have to move our abrasive and obnoxious comments show to the Pooch Cafe? I’m thinking that the usual commenting club that resides here will have something to say about that!Oh well…..as long as I’m here I might as well order breakfast.I’ll have a hot, steamy plate of sweetbreads and some hot sauce….hm. nice place this Pooch Cafe….think I’ll stay awhile and see if I can annoy anybody……

With Poncho you can never be positive whether he will put his thoughts into action, or not.

I’m following what Number Six said. Good Morning Everyone!!
This is strange. It’s sort of lie moving into a new house.

Years ago I thought there was a Pooch Cafe movie that was supposed to be in the works. That must have fallen through.

My father always told me not to get Snarky with him. Now I am confused.

Hi SUGIE, STEL and SIX. HI PERKY and CLEO. Trying to see if POOCH CAFE feels like home. My home away from home, that is. My first home being SB.

This is sort of gut-wrenching for me, but I am game if other CDERS can stomach the change. ;-)

Hi CD’ers! Let me know if Nighthawks is acting up — I can out-gross him six ways from Sunday! (Forty years with your hand stuck up the backside of a frozen duck will do that ;O)

Been reading this strip for a LONG time, in my queue, don’t comment much though. Still think CD will be back in a day or so, so hang on CD’ers, and KEEP enjoying here as well! PONCHO is a LOL good time, even if my Fellow Baby doesn’t enjoy it, love ya, JOHNNY FEVER, anyway! :-D

Poncho should slice open Hudson and hope the rebellion finds them.
