Hey we heard about the fish and brought our bowls over to get some-

This a first. Throughout all my visits to Pike Place Market, I have never seen them drop a fish. Lily must have made a fantastic leap in the air. If she nabbed it mid toss it would have brought her down to earth with a splat.

Lily is even more stealthy than any cat I can remember. There were never any live fish near me, which is why I’ve not learned to like eating fish (the smell of those I HAVE had access to, is . . . fishy!

I’m finally making the clam chowder for tomorrow’s pot luck (and I’ll sample some soup if there are vegetarian versions). I WILL take bowls for both of us. I will find something to eat in any case (and take almond milk to drink).
