Actually I saw almost exactly that in the road today while headed to Church except it involved a Red-Tail and a Possum.

I always feel worse for the bunnies, and other critters. If you find a dead possum that is male oor female. If she is still warm, she may have kits in her pouch. these may survive if rescue is can get them to a sactuary.
