Student: I got 10 points! For a basketball player, that's a solid contribution! For a gymnast, that's perfection!
Frazz: And what is it on a 50-point test?
Student: If I knew that, I'd have gotten better than 10.
Re Night-Gaunt49, yesterday: I can’t immediately find it, but there was in fact one series in which Mrs. Olsen and Frazz collaborated to pull one over on Caulfield. I think it was far enough back to have been in one of the dead-tree collections.
Re Ken in Ohio, also yesterday: ah, yes, the sweet alcohol smell of ditto. Did you know those things came in multiple colors? In addition to purple, there were green, black and red. I once did multi-color art for a college magazine reproduced on ditto. No problems with registration since you’d put all the pigment on the same master. But the non-purple colors wore out pretty quickly, so I ended up having to make three or four copies of the master drawing for the press run. Ah, the olden days…

Actually, 10 points on a 50 point test is great….IF you got another 40 points as well.
I mean, every point you get is good…. up to a point… or 50 of them.

But the points were for style, not execution.

Stratman, I admit to sand bagging….I could have phrased it, “At least he knows what it is he doesn’t know much about”…But where’s the fun there?
